I just found something on the FWC website that I think everyone should see. It looks like we will now need a license to surf fish. Please see http://myfwc.com/NEWSROOM/09/statewide/ ... line01.htm

Don't shoot the messenger! Mark

We kind of figured it was coming just a matter of time. The state is digging deep for our money they got used to all the excess tax dollars of better times but now everybody and there grandmother has to pay in some way because the pork got skinny and this is the way the shorebound fisherman are paying.Makes you wish for simpler times don't it?

i don't fully agree with that will all i heard when i was growing up was there was no shore bound saltwater license duo to the snow birds they were afraid the snow birds wouldn't come down and spend there money on everything else .. as long as the money stays with FWC and goes to work for helping the game and fish lands i don't mind at all but who knows were the money will go but from what i understand the FWC officers are the lowest paid law enforcement in our state
