The problem lies in the damn demand of shark fin soup, if there were none, this would not happen!I hope the coast guard catches them and destroy their nets and boats.That's what they do in the northwestern part of Australia.The Aussie coast guard catches illegal Indonesian fishermen in their waters, they haul their boats ashore, burn them and deport the fishermen!That's what is needed here, harsh as it seems!

The problem with all the rest of the countres is they can still take finns and throw the shark over, this way they dont fill the ice hold full so quick and can stay at sea for months at a time. Here in the good ole USA, noaa has rules saying the carcas and the fins must be together to posess. They also have a quota on the lbs sold, it may be in the metric tons but at least there is a quota. The US waters is like a santuary and the others are gona take advantage so asia can over populate the world even more. I have had so many tag returns from mexican long liners it makes me sick. The shark tagger program used to send ya a letter notifing the caught taged fish, and printed the shark tagger summary. It told months at liberty and where caught both times with anglers name. They quit for some reason.

the thing is with the commercial fisherman they have a license to do so and they are most likely us citizens and are keeping fish here. they come from Mexico and steal our fish and all we do is send them back. we need to keep them here untill they pay a fine like we have to.
