i got a trespassing warning from my 3rd street beach acess (street i live on) for pulling in a shark. i have a fishing license and am a member of the shorebound anglers alliance. isnt it my right to catch fish/sharks from the beach? a keeper shark it could have become, but revived and let go it was. but becuz some yuppie called up the PO's and theres been alot of shark attacks in CB im banned. am i in the wrong?
(and its not like i wasnt there at 7 in the morn be4 anyone else, and was atleast 100yrds down from anyone in the water.)

Seriously? Those guys have so little to do, they have to bug you? Did they write you a warning? Or verbal? Im curious which statute was allegedly broken. Is Sharkfishing banned in CB? The way things are going we'll all be outlaws within the next ten years, jeeze man!
the reason wrote on the writting trespassing warning was "disruptive shark fishing". its not banned in cocoa beach, becuz 2nd and 4th street r more than 1500ft away an i can shark fish there until someone complains, the cop said lol. i got a lawyer buddy coming over tonite to give me a game plan for going to city hall when i get the chance.

Just read your post on this. This sounds absolutely crazy!!! You weren't shark fishing - you were "Tarpon" fishing. Can anyone prove that you were Shark Fishing? You can't control what eats your bait.
Besides, How was your fishing disruptive?
I'll admit that I do not have all the facts, and do not know the situation where you live. I do not know the laws for that beach.
What has evolved in your situation? What direction are you taking?

Why not try giving the City prosecutor a call and ask him for a few minutes of his time and an explanation to avoid any confusion on such law. Ask if the City has ever prosecuted anyone for this in the past. Very politely of course.!!!!
