I recently met an older local fisherman who had heard about this catch. After talking with him about the catch and him respectfully telling me his point of view, I decided it is best to take this report down. Apparently this could, or, has lead to many people getting the wrong idea about things..after all nothing is private online

John, yet again you right highly aspiring writings, this report really moved me, I've always liked your reports and never knew you got a lot of your inspiration from JD, I'd say a lot of us do, not many people are as easy going or know as many tricks as him, even today he is trying new spots, making new innovations, I always tell him one of the reasons he catches like he does is because he's not stuck in the ancient ways, he's willing to try new things, from the little things like a new knot and electrical taped hooks, to style changes like getting a 2-speed reel, not only the Traveling Sharker, but the Evolving Sharker.

Thanks for making this write up, it's one of the best I've seen in a while; you don't write just to appease one audience, nor to boast about your fish, you show modesty and are careful in your words and protective about the people that help you out and such things. You got whooped with small set-ups and frustrated with boring nights but didn't just quit, you went on to amount to one of the best fishermen in your area in my opinion. When I first went bridge fishing it was a neutral experience, I had fun catching little fish but ended the trip with a nasty sunburn and other things went wrong, but now I've spent a lot of time on the bridges and got over the fact that it is a hard, tough empire got my biggest bull there and plenty of other personal best from bridges and piers.

Also, don't let others opinions get to you, you have some of the best reports on the forum and we get interested to see what you're up to.

Just an average fisherman.
