king

This king was over 5 feet. When I let it go, it didn't swim away strongly; it remained almost upright and wobbled as the current carried it away. Does that mean it probably died ?

very nice king i am told if it acts week most of the time it will die but you have a 50/50 chance on all fish you release back in the water for them to live or die if it is a hearty fish it most like lived but it it acted weak it most likely got at by a shark or dolphin

MONSTER KINGFISH!!!!!!! Lactic acid builds up in there muscles when they fight so hard so they push to the point of exhaustion and seem to be dead but are in fact extremely tired .That fish may have quickly recovered and swam of fine as it slowly sank back into it's normal enviroment .Thanks for the post and pic!!
