This looks like this is a really great forum. Really glad to have joined. I recently got into shark fishing from watching blacktiph youtube videos, although I've fished all my life i just recently have been trying to catch big sharks. I haven't caught a shark of any significant size yet but i did catch what seemed to be a 30lb southern ray which definitely gave me a run for my money. I live in Palm Harbor, FL which is very close to Tampa. I usually fish at honeymoon island from the shore. I don't have a boat or kayak so it does inhibit my ability a little to get my bait out far past the sand bars. Definitely looking forward to learning a thing or two from this forum.

I was using a piece of jack crevalle. Ive been catching a lot of ladyfish and jack crevalle and using both try to hook into a shark but no luck yet. Ill be there tomorrow from 8 to 1 if it doesn't rain, i usually go to the oasis beach or north beach and walk untill theres no rocks in the water.
