Your number one frozen bait
I don't have time to catch fresh bait a lot of the time but I've noticed jacks ladyfish mackeral and stuff like that aren't very bloody when frozen and the meat gets soft whats a good bait that works we'll frozen what would b ur guys number one frozen bait that seems to work good after being in the freezer?

Big ole Amberjack head or a big ray I can cut in 3 or 4 pieces. Both of these big baits will last 12 hours on hooks and still have juicy juice for the toothy critters.

Personally I'm not about frozen bait, but I will use it if the only other choice is a bare hook. The smaller baits like ladyfish, mackerel, and other stuff like that with soft meat is not very useful after being frozen. It gets picked apart quick by crabs and catfish. Larger baits like big jacks, rays, or bait sharks still work well frozen, or anything else with tough meat. It holds up well against the catfish, crabs, and smaller nuisance sharks. They also stay bloody and yes, you can re-freeze and re-use, just check to see if the bait is still bleeding when you reel it in at the end of the night.
