how long to soak baits?

My family only goes to the beach for a few hours at a time and then they are done and ready to go. im not able to drive yet so i have to go with them. is 2-3 hours long enough to have any luck with a shark or should i not waste my time?

It's always a gamble but you cant hook a fish if ya dont have a bait in the water. I have had baits in the water for hours and hours and notin, changed up to keep fresh and all. I have also had fish on in the first 5 minutes, ya just never know.

Check your tides before you get to the beach, if you are going to be there during the high or low tide, def. have one in the water. That is your best shot for a short trip.

Baits in the water equals sharks so def get your bait out there even if it's a short drop of less then 100 yards .the 14 ft 1 Hammer that is leading in the BHC was caught after a short drop not 10 minutes after the bait was deployed . Good luck.
