Blacktip Deterrent?

Its been a tough week. We've been hooking up on 70-130lb blacktips like crazy but I cant weed through them fast enough to get on the Tigers. The Tigers were in full force through April and into May, but just recently, no matter how large of bait I'm using...the blacktips are on it like white on rice. I tried using a blacktip for bait and ended up with a Hammer well over 500lbs that we chased for 3 miles, which was awesome. But then I go back the next day, use another blacktip and didnt even take a shot....and I know those Tigers are in the area. Typically the bait sits out for 5 to 10 mins before it gets smoked. This is great for most clients, but I have some that come down specifically for the Tiger.
Never in my life have I had this problem. Any of you guys have any bait suggestions that a Blacktip wont eat? My buddy Pete says I should try a ray...I havent caught one yet this year, and as aggressive as the 'tips are right now I think they'd like that too. Thanks for any input.

Blacktips love rays as well. Your only real option is to use bigger baits and hope the larger fish picks it up first...or hope that the blacktips leave enough meat for a tiger to still want your bait.

Get the largest bait you can find and leave it in your cooler overnight without any ice .TIGERS LOVE STINKY BAITS and the tippers will mostly leave it alone. Also take two milk crates and place a couple of frozen blocks of chum inside them ,tie the crates together and drop it down to the bottom with a rope and bouy just away from your fishing area then set out the big stinky baits .You may want to spice up the chum crate by dropping some fresh fish heads and carcasses in there as well. This works for us in the Bahamas when the Caribean reef sharks get out of control the only difference is we use a cable from bouy to crate to prevent a frenzy cut-off by an over zealous reef shark, rogue bull or large tiger.Hope that helps.
