Id use a "Tubelure" for cuda or "Gotcha plug". Rays seem to just love big trebel hooks, they eat them with their wings, tail, eye sockets, face, etc. LOL! I just snag em.

Bucktails. If you know how to use one in the several different ways to catch certain fish you can land absolutely every single species of fish in the keys  . Bring sabikis or gold hooks to make riggings, if you see a school of bait fish jig for them, if you don't put some chunks of bait on the hooks and the majority of small fish that gobble up those baits are good baits for jacks, cudas, grouper, etc. I am going to make a report of my keys trip from Thursday-Friday sometime soon.

Like Mark said there are many ways. If you are looking for bait fish to then Snapper Fish or Grouper Fish and stuff then look for the bait around the bridges. Some bridges have a ton of bait and some have less. You will usually be able to spot bait on the bridges and catch them with a gold hook rig or a sabiki rig. If you are talking about Shark bait, then have some tube lures handy and walk them down the bridges and get ready my friend. Fighting a Big Cuda on the bridges can be fun and challenging. Cast under the driver bridges as well as Cudas like to hang out under the driving bridges at certain times of the day. Like Mark said too bucktails will work on a lot of species especially Jacks during the day. Good Luck!!!!!!!

Live jack or mullets get the picky ones. Runners and such shiny fish can be found jigging around pilings.

Great info, thanks Mark. I am hoping to take a trip down there again soon myself.
