Oldschool solid fiberglass, heavier, cheap, nearly unbreakable. New scool hollow graphite, lighter, exspensive. What do you all prefer and why?

Yeah I know there are several factors that you have to account for. I myself like the solid fiberglass blanks ranging from 7-8 feet. I am actually in the process of building an 8 foot solid glass shakespeare blank :D. An employee at one of the local shops around here keeps trying to get me to go to graphite but, I can't help but to keep going back to the solid glass rods. I myself have never fished with the new hollow glass blanks. Maybe if I did I would like them. I just learned how to fish using the old solid glass rods. Ohwell if it's not broke don't fix it. Anyone else?

Hi Guys:

Me,! I'll stick with Harnell/Harrington blanks. Those blanks are the best that money can buy.

I like Calstar and Seeker. The Super Seeker is a composite blend and fairly dense, they make some nice sizes for sharking too for those who want a medium length rod like the 6'3 xxxxh 80-150lb and the 7' 3x5 unlimited blank.
