I was on Google maps checking out spots near Fort Desoto and wanted some input on Pass A Grill beach. Anybody sharking here? It looks like public parking right at the pier and I imagine we can fish there late at night. What's your experience?

No reason you cant fish there at night, I've stayed till like 3a.m. I've only fished it twice so I can't speak for the numbers of sharks there, but with the crazy amounts of tarpon and snook there, along with the structure of the bottom and as wide and deep as it is, there has to be some beasts coming in and out of that mouth. I've tried fishing the inside of the pass too, where it drops off quick, but the current is crazy in there and I can't figure out how to hold bottom.

A couple of things.See that boat?It has a lot of boat traffic in and out of the pass.Next problem the swim line is just to the north and right of the pier.Very close to pier and marked off about every 50yds.Also not very deep and you have to pay for parking.But it could be a good spot....Dave
