Hey, so i just bought a 14/0 and would love to upgrade the drag, ive heard of ht100s but also the smoooooooth drag washers, does anyone have any reccomendations on where to get these without paying an arm and a leg. And is there a good guide for how to replace these. Or do i just send it to alan tani, but im not sure how much he would charge.
I just replaced the drag in my Daiwa Sealine to the appropriate ht-100 washers, as recommended by Alan Tani. Drags are easy to replace. You don't need to send your reel off, just take off the side plate, take out the washers and drop the new ones in the drag well. If your reel doesn't have ht-100's (which are Penn washers) I would contact either Penn or Alan Tani to figure out which ones to buy to replace them.
