Just got a new telescoping rod from penfishingreels.com that came with a pretty well designed tiny open faced reel. I didn't like how far back the star went on it so I put a guide insert that fit perfectly to reduce the back going-ness... The rod is in the form of a 8inch pen and extends to 61 inches... it came spooled 3/4ths of the way with what I think is 4lb test? not sure, but it can hold 100 yards of 8lb... gonna try my luck on some 5lb tarpon eventually
... anyways, the current world record fish for a penfishingrod is a 21lb carp... any suggestions on what I should beat that record with? 
I'll make a report with just ultra ultra ultra light catches a good time from now

a 40lb winter red lol they are big and lazy so should be a good fight on crazy light tackle lol

I fish my Pflueger President SOOOO HARD! I <3 ultralights. I got a 10lb snook on 4lb and I've jumped tarpon it with 2lb
Maby a nice lazy snook will be big enough for the record.
That's the type of rod that i'm thinking to get to use it from piers, when i wanna bring 3 extra rods. I would use it only for sibikki rigs catching bait. It's easy to hide it
