This was the 1st thought I had too ,when I saw that poor unfortunate little shark ,
The report i was reading , and getting my info from actually made me physically sick reading it & the effects on our beautiful Gulf and the myriad of beautiful creatures that call it "HOME"
That spill is a SIN against Nature, GOD , and Man, nothing less , and it should be punished when& if the so-called investigations EVER end .
I had a huge post typed up about the DEEPWATER SPILL and the HORRIFFIC effects it's having on the GULF ;but the system dumped it and me ....had to re-login it's too late at nite now to type it again BUT I will re-type it
I have way too much respect for Will , the Club this site and all y'all fishermen Brothers here ,to turn this post into a political soapbox, but this spill ,THE largest in history, is a travesty and a SIN as I said , and just as much damage from the spill ,was done again by the so-called "cleanup" ,and I think it was intentional , all of it from beginningexplosion, to close of scheduled "cleanup"

The big pic of the spill along Mississippi/Louisiana -Alabama,was from spill being picked up by the Moderate-resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer on NASA's TERRA Sattellite, This spill was THE biggest in History....20Xbigger than EXXON Valdez Spill!
Most of the impact was on Marine Species,
EIGHT National Parks were threatened, more than 400 SPECIES living in / on Gulf Islands& Marshes ALONE, are now at risk,
There was a comprehensive 2009 inventory of OFFSHORE Gulf Species [BEFORE the Spill} , 15,700species TOTAL ; the spill area contains 8,332 of these Species......,CONTINUED ....
Species now threatened because of that spill:
Turtles:Kemp'sRidley , Green , LoggerHead , Hawk'sBill , Leatherback; 1,200FISHtypes /200BIRDS /1,400Mollusks /1,500Crustaceans /those turtles mentioned above /29types Marine Animals/
InNat'l.Refuges at risk alone ;34,000birds counted dead:Gulls, Terns, Spoonbills, Pelicans, Egrets, Blue Herons
A 2011 New Hampshire Univ. BIO-Science paper ,Researchers reported the spill threatened ANOTHER additional 39 MARINE SPECIES ,in addition to those previously counted AND 14currently; Whale sharks to seagrass. "Federally Protected" [some protection}
"Actual #s of Mammal DEATHS maybe 50TIMES HIGHER than the #s of recovered carcasses;however; the "Recorded Impact" was 'relatively low"{BS} "Because reports implied the #s of recovered carcasses, equaled the #s of Dead Animals [which is TOTAL BS}
Louisiana State U. Prof. Harry Roberts: " The 4.9MILLION BARRELS of OIL SPILLED equals enough to WIPE OUT Marine Life deep at Sea near the leak & elsewhere in GULF , as well as 100s of MILES of CoastLine ".
WOODS HOLE OCEANAGRAPHIC Scientist Mak Saito : "It can alter the BASIC Chemistry of The SEA ITSELF,with unforseeableresults."
GEORGIA UNIVERSITY: "The oil WILL harm ALL FISH DIRECTLY - AND,the Microbes used to 'consume' the oil WILL reduce OXYGEN LEVELS ."

MARCH 2012Report: "Definitive LINK FOUND between death of Coral Communities and the spill", "The presence of recentlydamaged and deceased Corals beneath the path of a previously documented oil plume emanating from Macondo Well provides COMPELLING EVIDENCE: The OIL impacted Deep Water Ecosystems too."

adult crabs with thier spines "burned" off with chemicals,

Numerous Scientists have stated : " They were personallyrebuked by FEDERALAuthorities for 'speaking out of turn' to media about efforts to determine the cause of the DOLPHIN DEATHS ."
APRIL 2011-con'td. : !year post spill & cont......."Scientists CONFIRM OIL ON DEAD DOLPHINS along GULF COAST.......15 of 406 found dead washed ashore had oil on them, that was linked to the spill,NOAA Spokeman :" It's significan, even tho it's 1yr ,post spill , we are finding oil on dolphins -late as 2weeks ago."
NOAA STUDY: "Dolphins who came in contact with the petroleum/oil, were seriously ill; with drastically low weight, low blood sugar, & Cancer of the Liver and Lungs ,
