Man! I would love to do this on the sand, just for the info i could gain about different styles.
I see it being a blast to. 120 yards apart, first man to gain 50 yards of line wins.

been there done that catching the rod whip on the nose is the worst, I have seen stars 
that looks like a blast! trying it on the sand would be fun to and we would be able to see different styles of fighting sharks.
that looks like fun. you could learn different styles of fishing how to put the most pressure on a fish and also compare reels doing it. say a avet 80w to a international 80w see witch has more drag and more torque to it.

I hope this year when you guys have this event there is someone that can take video of these events. That would be some incredible footage.
