What kind of knots do you tie for the loops at the bottom of the spool? For my 30W, it will get close to getting dumped sometime

I do a bite in the line and an overhand knot; just like creating a chicken rig. I've never been able to break it when practicing for the time I have to tie in.

Pretty much a barrel knot with out the tag cut. Cross the un cut line on it's self and wrap the loop around the cross and put the loop through where the cross started. Hard to explain but in the end it should look like a blood or barrel knot. Work at it and you will figure it out.

The dropper loop knot tied correctly holds pressure on the mainline just as good as it does on the loop itself... the key to this knot is synching it down by pulling on the 2 mainlines.. it wont work properly if u try to synch it by the loop.

Just an average fisherman.

This is the knot that i use for 2-3 circle hooks size 2/0 rig: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7P7DSPU4 ... ure=fvwrel
Works excellent.

On the sinker side i use this knot: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iW9hROQDGlc which is also the knot used for the x-Rap Glass ghost.

...and on the swivel side that goes tied to your main line, use whatever knot you're comfortable.

I think hes talking about loops at the bottom of the spool to tie into in the event the angler is getting dumped. Prepares the line on the reel to be connected to another reel to continue the fight.

Right on. Went with the dropper loops. Hopefully I never see them and if I do, hopefully they'll get back on the reel.
