Lets say im fishing a spillway or intercostal bridge far inshore, will high tide be earlier/same/later than when it is high tide on the beach? For example, if high tide is at 4:00pm on the beach, when is high tide 5 miles inland?

I think every location is going to be different. What you could do is look at distance of your spot from the beach you have a correct tide for and compare that distance to the next closest tide listed to see the difference. For example
If you beach is high tide at 12pm and is 3 miles from your secret spot and tide is high at 1230 at beach 2 thats 6 miles away.....then your secret spot should be withing 15 mins? Rough guestimate

easiest way get a smart phone get the navionics app and it tells you everything exactly for your position via sat.
tells tide, speed, wind temp, water temp, everything needed to know

Inland tides will be delayed with respect to the beach.. the amount of delay depends on many factors.. in my area 5 miles inland is about 45 min to 1 hour delay.
