The return of the sand bar to the east coast.

In 1983, it was the year of the sand bar shark. We caught 53 of the south beach pier that year. Since then the long linners have put out ten mile long ropes with many hooks and slayed them. They target them for there big fins to sell to Japan. Now that the longliners have been banned from fishing close to shore the are showing up again. I hope this trend continues to happen year after year and is not a fluke year. :o :D

The sandies are strange, i will catch alot for a few years in a row then its like they are gone for a few years. They pick up the bait and run good and steady and fight hard too. Hope the mexican long liners dont intercept them befor they get here.
