Any of y'all fellas gittin hit hard by it? I was just down on Palm Island and theres lots of dead pinfish and mullet inshore and out to 6 miles out of stump pass. You can see it in the water it is orange colored. But I caught the heck out of the snook and trout on live shrimp inshore. I ain't seen no big fish dead just lil fish. I ran offshore today to see how hard hit it was and after 6 miles caught lots of mackeral/kings trollin bait pods and bottom fishing was like normal. I spearfished at 15 miles out and the surface current was going S to N and bottom current was going N to S.

I didn't take the sharkin gear with me just because the red tide is worst on the beach but have any of y'all been catchin anything down there? I wanna go back soon just don't know if its worth sharkin. Plus the smell is unbearable on the beach right now.

Yeah from what i hear its from sarasota to sanibel but it moves around every day with the wind. The center is right on charlotte harbor and I watched it blow into our little harbor we live on. The water went from normal green/brown to orange. I started hearing about it on like tuesday of last week and its getting worse every day it rains even more.

I was out fishing Bonita yesterday and although it was low tide I thought the water was looking like it had been affected by red tide. Not sure if it's bad enough to effect the fishing yet though. There was bait everywhere with schools of jacks and ladys tearing them up!
