Thought it would be interesting to hear if anyone has any. I always change my luck by bringing out a coors, it almost always works . Or my lucky International, that thing almost always gets hit. :ugeek: Also, I see alot of guys using jacks, every time I put one out it either gets windy as hell and/or rains on me or we get skunked or snagged. Have never hooked a single thing on a Jack. I take that back I hooked a boat on a jack once .

We never take a camera, or we get skunked. No hits? Make a sandwich & you're sure to get hit!

Never touch the cameras until the fish is on the sand, or hand a rod off or we lose the fish. If its really slow I'll get dressed and that always seems to provoke a run. Of course no BANANA'S!!

I very rarely hand off a rod myself, but thats why I assign rods and plan everything ahead of time unless we have a "Virgin" on the sand :D in which case "If its your first night at fight club YOU HAVE TO FIGHT" I still laugh at the Banana thing but I know alot who agree STRONGLY.

Put on your rain coat on before you go fishing.
this makes the rain go away.

Don't bring your cast net.
this makes mullet show up.

Don't bring a camera.
you'll catch something you've never caught before.

My favorite is, if you have to p, start to walk off 2 go.
 then your drag will go screaming.

Murphy's law or something like that.

Murphy's law follows me around 90% of the time... I've been trying desperately for a big bull and only came up with a hammer and a lemon  .

All the fish are biting when I don't have a rod... I get back with a rod... they're all gone.

I have thousands of pairs of socks... I need them one day and they all just vanished.

1. Don't EVER use German Swivels (long story)

2. Don't ever have too much bait, whenever you have a lot of bait you never get hit, but when you have about 2 baits per rod every bait gets hit haha

3. NEVER pay attention to your rods, forget that you're shark fishing.

4. Don't ever be TOO ready. Don't overpack and only have limited items when going shark fishing, it seems that when ever we are missing items ( flashlight, measuring tape, rigs, pliers, etc) is the times we always get a shark.

One more thing... I always try to have one rod with a bucktail on at all times and when I don't I always end up givin' myself the boot. I appreciate the bucktail more than any other fishing device ever invented. Any type of fish can succumb to the good jigger  ... if not it's getting snagged anyways.
