Stolen rod/reel found!

The unfortunate part of this is that Mojo will by law have to pay the Pawn Shop owner what they paid the thief for the rod.In other words the Pawn shop owner is considered a victim also because he had no idea the merchandise they bought or loaned money on(pawned) was stolen and paid the crook US currency-so the pawn owner laid out money that will need to be paid back to him .The local Pawn detail cop will have in his hand or on a disc the copy of the original Pawn slip and will be able to tell Mojo exactlly how much the Pawn shop paid for the rod so there is no way the store owner can jack up the price.The thief will be prosecuted and Mojo(Greg)will be asked for a statement(affidavit)and proof of ownership or a copy of a filed police report,,,then the courts put scum bag thief away with more then a slap on the wrist I hope.Good luck Greg.

Hi Chris and thank you, BUT i already knew where it is/was but i cant afford to get it until at least the 10th which sucks cause somebody will most likely grab it. And the cops are dragging there feet.

PS: I edited your post so that no one can see where it is, a 180$ for a 750$ rod and +the 150$ reel would be tempting to allot of peeps.

just a suggestion but maybe someone can step up to the plate if anyone is able and go with you to pay off the ticket - at least that way you are secured in getting your rig back - it would be a stand up gesture for someone that was able to help you out - good luck.

if i had the extra cash flow id paypal it right now so you could go get it in the am. but im broke right now. i hope no one goes and buys it out from under you. i know what its like to have rods stolen it sucks.

if it would have been me, i would have payed the pawnshop guy not for the rod but for the copy of the guys id and show up at his house. well i think u gatta show i d when u pawn something so there u go

FOR EVERYONE'S INFORMATION i AM A PAWNBROKER AND THAT ROD CANNOT BE ON THE SALES RACK ONCE IT HAS BEEN REPORTED STOLEN TO THE POLICE .IT MUST BE SET ASIDE BY THE PAWN SHOP WITH A POLICE CASE # ON IT AND I REPEAT CANNOT BE PUT OUT FOR SALE -IT IS AGAINST THE LAW .I SUGGEST THAT IF THEY HAVE IT OUT FOR SALE THAT THE RIGHTFUL OWNER (MOJO) GO AND CALL THE COPS FROM INSIDE THE PAWNSHOP AND SHOW THEM YOUR POLICE REPORT AND THE SHOP WILL LIKELY GET A WARNING OR GET REPRIMANDED.THE PAWNSHOP OWNER BY LAW IS NOT ALLOWED TO GIVE OUT THE ADDRESS OF PERSON WHO PAWNED IT TO ANYONE EXCEPT THE POLICE DEPARTMENT.ONCE THE MERCHANDISE HAS BEEN REPORTED STOLEN AND THE COPS HAVE FILED A CASE THE COUNTY PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE WILL FILE CHARGES AND THE CROOK WILL BE TAKEN AND BOOKED IN COUNTY TO EAT BOILED EGGS AND SALAMI SANDWICHES.
