Planning on Leaving Michigan again and heading to st Augustine this time in April from the 5th to the 11th. Does anyone know if it is decent shark fishing there? We are staying on the south end of st augustine in a beach house just north of a marina. Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!

We are between the Matanzas river bridge and marineland marina... I would assume it would be good by the bridge / inlet to the ocean, but we are about 1 mile south of it and this is more of a family vacation with some shark fishing during the days - hopefully a couple evenings too. Short drops / long drops work best?

Thanks again!

There are a lot of shells and rocks near that bridge and the current is very strong on both the incoming and outgoing tides. I don't know what the water depth is but hopefully this info helps.

I was going to ask this same question and then I found this old thread....

I live in Melbourne but I will be up in St Augustine at the end of the month with some college buddies and we would like to catch some sharks.
Are there any shark fishermen up in St. Augustine? How is the shark fishing there? Do they catch them from the beach and if so, which beach is best? Has anyone tried the bridge that was suggested?

Thanks for any help ya'll can provide.
