I've decided to dump my Power Pro backing (150lb solid core) for 130lb momoi diamond hollow core.
I'm wondering what lb mono can you fit in the hollow core? right now i run 80lb mono on top and is fine for our barren sandy beaches and passes but if i need to run 100, 150 or even 200lb mono topshot to protect against inshore structure can i easily splice that in? or does it take a section of larger hollow core spliced into the 130 and over the heavier mono?
