Singer island help for 1/25???
Well with all the black tip migrating videos, and promising look like the timing will be right I decided to head south Alex from PA decided to make the long drive down and was nice enough to stop and pick up my gear. I will be flying down on Wednesday evening to Ft Lauderdale to fish around singer island area for 4 days.
I know pin point info is tough to get, but can you all help me out with what i should be catching in the surf this time of year...BAIT.. bait rigs. Any info helps and is appreciated. January fishing in south east FL for the first time and I am lost.

you wanna bring a spinner with lures and jigs that gets good distance and a long distance bottom rod you can chuck a bait on pretty far... there are jacks, mackeral, tarpon, cudas, spinner sharks, and big sharks; you just gotta be lucky enough to hit them... fishing 4 days your bound to hit em' at least once
If singer island is too much of a pain in the ass (which it is) try fishing the north side of juno pier... the spinner sharks are there too and I have seen many monsters there. You can also go in the daytime to juno pier and fish... snag rays in the surf, get jacks off the end and stuff... but be weary of the people and you can't bring out a reel bigger than a 4/0 wide.
Just an average fisherman.

Yes sir team Catchin'Jiants is in!!!
Now I am in the dark but if I can get a little help with the area I hope to get into some fish.
Looking forward to meeting a lot of you guys at the meeting on Wednesday if my flight makes it in time.
You should definetly go to the pier. It's still my favorite place to fish. The tippers there get thick, and we catch them on almost any bait we can put out
I got my first one of the year on a 5" hardtail I put out for kings
Singer island does kind of suck North of the pier can be good, but I like about 1/2mile south, because there are almost no people.
The way I see it, fish are almost everywhere and the biggest issue is whether there are people in your way
Singer Island will be a pain in the butt to fish at. To many goers and private beaches. What not that many people know, In Palm Beach County it is illegal to be on the beach between 12:00AM and 5:00AM. In reality this law is only applied when someone calls the cops on you. If you're hard-head with the law-enforcement agent he/she can arrest you under that law. So, be careful where and when you'll gonna fish from the beach, if cops get called on you between 12:00AM and 5:00AM and they tell you to leave - just pack your stuff and go. Do not argue - it will get you in trouble. If someone calls the cops on you OUTSIDE of thous hours they won't even tell you to leave, as long as you're not fishing from a private beach where there is no sign of "private property". Also, VERY IMPORTANT - ANYWHERE IN PALM BEACH COUNTY - DO NO INSTALL ANY CAMPING TENT - THIS IS ILLEGAL AT ANY TIMES ANYWHERE IN PALM BEACH COUNTY. Although, nobody seem to be bothered by installing a canopy WHERE you're AWAY from private beaches.
Sounds that there are many rules, unfortunately last year we've experienced all these issues with law-enforcement agencies.
Good luck & tight lines!
