just wanted to know where I can get a measuring tape to measure large sharks like in this picture, standard measuring tapes from a hardware store are inconvenient as they dont bend easily when taking girth measurements plus the sand and saltwater get inside and wreak havoc, thanks!!

I have been needing to buy one too and my plan was to go to a sewing or arts-n-crafts store.

Look on EBAY. You can get a white 100ft fiberglass tape measure that wont rust, for about $10. Get yourself a permanent highlighter (orange is good), and highlight every even foot, for the first 10 - 15 ft, or more, if you are feeling lucky
