anyone doing the Lemonbayhighschool football fishing tournament? its for sharks and rays. first place for shark is $1000 2nd. $500 3rd. $250. Rays- 1st. $750 2nd. $500 3rd. $250. its 40 dollars to enter for shark or 60 for ray and shark. it goes by length not weight. only eligible sharks are blacktips and bulls, must be gutted and put on ice. dates are the 13th 14th and 15th, you can register in englewood at 2 places. one is the ( 2 morrows trailers) and i forget the other one, you can go there to get flyers, if fishing in team every angler must pay or he or she is not aloud to bring a shark to weigh in, aloud to weigh in one shark, (per angler that has paid). captains meeting is at marine dynamics on friday the 13th 6-7pm. this is all to help support lemonbayfootballteam. Location englewood fl.
i was gonna do it but i dont have a boat to hit the pass with or i would and i dont have a yak to go off the beach with
you can do it from a beach too. and if you need a yak i have one im thinking of selling i just want the right price. its a 2 person but i honestly prefer it when the waves are rough, 650 retail. brand is spectrum. but i think im gonna fish middle then go on a friends boat to try to hookup a nice bull in the pass
if i can get my hands on a boat and some good bait i may fish it.
Why kill the shark, why not just do a secret item picture like the BHC? I would think it would raise a lot more more money for the football team if this was the case.

thats what i thought would also be best, but its only a 3 day tournament, and i believe the sharks will be eaten. alot of people in englewood have a little amount of logical thinking lol. our football team just needs ways to make money cause were looking for a 'new start' and we've been doing tons of fundraisers.
the meat is going to be donated if i understand correctly but yea they should do it with a secret item.
