2010 TRIPLE CROWN COMPETITION
This competition is intended to unite all the best shark fisherman around the world to compete for bragging rights and cash every year.
The US,Australa,South Africa and the rest of the world where shark fishing is a big sport will appreciate this concept top notch shark tourney.We invite all fisherman who think they can win any of the three categories to try and compete.
The 2010 Triple Crown competition has changed from it's original format in 2009.Last year anyone who became a member of the South Florida Shark Club was automatically registered in the $1500 Triple Crown compitition.Club membership no longer means you are automatically registered in the Triple Crown.Some folks wanted to enter the Triple Crown without having to become a SFSC member so we have changed the rules to accomodate them.
This year we have seperated the club membership and the Triple Crown into two seperate entities.In 2010 Shark Club membership is $35 (annual dues) and the Triple Crown Competition is an additional $25.Non SFSC members pay $50 and are good for the Triple Crown annual cash prizes .
Last year we were short money to cover the Triple Crown and I came out of pocket to cover the prizes.By seperating club membership and Triple Crown it becomes a seperate entity and more manageable.It's the only way we can cover expenses.In 2009 we did not collect sufficient funds to fully cover the $1500 Triple Crown at the end of the year and I personally had to cover the shortage out of my own pocket.Trophies,club t-shirts,Paper,ink,stamps,food,gas all expenses of the club ate up the money collected and there was a shortage of funds at the end of the year.
In 2010 the $1500 Triple Crown Competition will have an entry fee of $50 per angler.This way once we have 30 anglers signed up at $50 each the $1500 is guarnteed.If we go over 30 anglers we will still divide the total into three cash prizes .If we do not sign up 30 anglers we will divide whatever total has been collected into three cas prizes as well.This is a simple solution and one that makes sense.Once we have recieved your Triple Crown registration fee you are ready to compete and your sharks count from that point forward.

The Triple Crown will be awarded to any angler who catches the biggest of all three of these species
#1 BIGGEST TIGER
#2 BIGGEST HAMMERHEAD
#3 BIGGEST BULL .
RULES
1)Anyone in any state or country can enter.
2)You must pay the annual $50 registration fee to be eligible for the $1500 (U.S currency).
3)The competition starts January 1st,2010 and ends December 31,2010.
4)YOU MAY ENTER AT ANY TIME DURING THE 2010 calender year BUT only sharks caught after we recieve your payment will be eligible for the cash prizes.
5)You must post your catch with the story and pictures on this website https://www.southfloridasharkclub.com .
6)Winners will be determined by overall length of each shark.
7)The person catching the shark must be in two clear, legible pictures next to the shark.
8)Picture One must show a tape measure stretched out from the tip of the sharks nose to the tip of the shark's tail.
9)Picture Two must show an up close picture where the tip of the tail touches the measuring tape.
10)The sharks may be caught from land or boat.
11)Sharks must be caught by only one individual without assistance on the rod.
12)No electric reels allowed only hand cranked reel with rod allowed.
13)If no one angler wins the three categories then the prize will be divided in three parts.
14)$500 for biggst hammerhead,$500 for biggest tiger ,and $500 for biggest bull shark
15)It is each anglers responsibility to make us aware of a qualifying catch and also to post it in our website Forum.
16)Once your registration fee has been recieved you will be given THE SECRET ITEM to display in your pictures.
Any excess monies beyond $1500 collected throughout the year(2010) will be divided among the three winners.The cash will be handed out or check mailed out to the winner or winners on Jan 1st,2011.
Sharks must be measured in this form-tip of nose to tip of tail.
The second picture must be a close up of where the tip of the sharks tail falls on the tape.

There are only seven total Anglers signed up so far at $25 DOLLARS EACH and each is a club member .That means there is only $200 total to divide at this time but hopefully we will get more shark fisherman to join the competition during this time of the year when the mullet run stirs up the sharks and has them in feeding frenzies up and down the beaches.
