Setup Capabilities?

I have gotten my first setup just about ready to roll for next month. First off I will be sharking from piers and the beach in the panhandle. Secondly will be using 100% 50lb mono (no braid backing).

Now the Rig: Stock Penn 114H hooked up to a 7' Solid Glass Heavy action rod (Snaggin Special from BassPro) has metal reel seats with double screw down locking collars.

Question: Up to what length/lb shark can this thing handle without being spooled out or have the drag fried or have the rod explode? (Ill have the drag set at about 16-19lbs)

With that setup, a 6 or 7 foot shark would give you a really awesome fight from the beach or a pier. Anything bigger than that and your gonna be spooled or broken off.
