Sanibel, Fort Myers, Captiva Area. Best beach for long hours

What's up guys!!
I am new to the site and have a trip planned down to Fort Myers on March 17th. I have talked with a few guys like Norman Bateman about the best beach to log some long hours from. I would like to find a nice stretch of beach that I can yak out some big baits and sit on the beach all night.

Any thoughts or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

As probably all of you I am in the hunt for a big Hammer or Tiger 8-)

Right in your area, big bulls, lemons, and tigers

Just an average fisherman.

What about the beach between little and big hicory, it looks good as far as water depth.

I am trying to just narrow down a few beaches that can be surf fished over nite with out having any troubles.

Thanks man. With the info I have gained so far I doubt I am even going to attempt to fish sanibel or Myers beach. I will take a look at matalacha.

try the sanibel cause way thats pretty good or on sanabel the point right by the light house the water drops off right off the beach to 40ft and theres a strong current if you want to go futher south go to marco island and fish tiger tail beach theres always big sharks there but the problem is you have to walk about 5 miles through sand to get around a magrove laggon

Just another question... Matalacha looks to be in the sound or bay part not in the gulf, if I am looking at it right. I could see some smaller sharks and maybe some big bulls going in there.... tell me if im wrong, but I dont think that spot is good for big Hammers or Tigers.
