Rod wrapping?

Out of all my time fishing, I have seen many unique wraps, but I have never seen anyone wrap thier rod al lteh way up to the tip.

Is there complications with doing this? besides the cost of thread and the patience required to wrap that so excessively.

Has it been done before? anyone got pics?

I believe if there was any technical reason it would be because somehow it affects the bend of the rod, but I doubt it.

Just an average fisherman.

I am with you on this, Doing that has also crossed my mind and yeah i believe it can be done, BUT the only question i have is, What or how would it effect the Action of the rod....And how much would that much thread and whatever else is involved weigh?
I would love to get started doing this stuff but the cost would be prohibitive for me. :o

i dont think it would affect the rod action at all because ur just putting a coat of flexcoat over the whole rod anyways like it might stiffen it about a pound or two but thats about it. and ive never wrapped a decorative up the whole rod because it would take too long to line up for me. but i was thinking of wrapping a tiger wrap on the whole rod. but if i wrap the whole rod ill b sure to take pics and post some
