Rod Quality Inquiry and general question

Guys take a look at http://www.stingraytackle.com if you would and check out the Azul series of rods. Do these seem adequate for pier/beach fishing in the panhandle (panama city beach)? They are a little more than the cash the boss(wife) has told me i could spend on one specifically for shark fishing but i think i can come up with the difference. The rod will be matched to a Penn 114H 6/0 prob with 50lb mono for main line. Also the boy is interested as heck in trying to catch one too......what would be a good starter rig for him at 11yr old (85lb approx)? I would really like for it to be an enjoyable experience for him and hope he can catch one more so than me.

Beware of inferior quality Chinese made products. From personnal expierience i can say that the cheap stuff is more expensive in the long run.Buy good stuff and you only buy once.I bought a standup boat rod with ceramic guides and after about a year the ceramic part of the guides started falling off,,,,,,,,,lesson learned -it don't pay to skimp.Good Luck Bamaman.
