Every reel that I've ever owned I've disassembled and reassembled within the first week of owning it. I've fixed up many other people's reels for free and I am very skilled in the mechanics of reels.
I can do repairs, refurbishing, cleanings, and upgrades without a problem on most reels. If you are interested send me a PM and we'll discuss pricing and such.
I will say one thing, I cannot guarantee 100% work on small spinning reels; not because they are complicated (although a good amount of them are), but because they contain extremely small parts such as springs and balls that are tough to hold in place or put back in the reel. If you do want any work done with them and I happen to lose a piece I will take it out of my pocket without a problem.
I live in Miami, if you don't then shipping will be discussed. This is just a side-job to me as I am already currently working a 5-day schedule. I'm doing it more as a favor to the club than for compensation. I will definitely be cheaper than the tackle shops or reel repairmen and I accept other forms of payment besides cash. This would include but not be limited to, terminal tackle, rods, reels, spare parts, fishing trips, food, lures, jigs, gift cards, line, upgraded parts, and rod-building equipment and materials.
