Anyone know where I can get a single prong barbless needle to make a gigger? The three prong barbed giggers bend out after a few rays.
They make heavier duty gigs...I have a 5-prong. If you really want a single prong and cant find one, try making one. I bet a 16/0 hook bent straight in a vice would work well.
I just straiten out 1 12/0 stainless hook and put it on an old blank or broomstick
If you wanna go very simple, go to lowes or depo and get a "gutter spike" its for lack of a better term a nail 9 to 12 inches located in the hardware section by the other nails. For nailing your gutter to your roof. Or pull one from your roof 
. Hose clamp it tightly to an old broomstick. Hose clamps rust but are pretty cheap. Can bend out an old flea market gaff also. Unlimited choices. I just snatch Rays personally with heavy braid and trebel hook (4X VMC awesome for this). My speargun also works pretty well
