I was thinking of making the drive over to the Lakeworth pier this summer, but I was wondering if there were and reel size restrictions, or any other restrictions I should know about. Thanks.

here is where it get's tricki, since 1976 no bigger reel than a 6/0,no more than 3 rod's per angler, but as alway's some get to bring more than other's.as somewone that was kicked of the pier more time's than you have thought about fishing it,let me tell you is who you know.i know manny a fisherman who quit fishing that place for that reason's.true story, when the mullet ran good i mean good, schools 500 yds long and 100 yds wide.no one could cast a net of the pier excerpt of course the pier employes themselves, called it catching bait to sell to the public, well this guy snached a horse mulley hoocked it on a jigmarter 3' wire leader and a #5 mustad, mind you,and cast it out at the back end of the school,of course only a handfull of us new or saw all the bull's slowly moving behind the mullet, well you guess it he hooked one,and the guy's at the front where looking through there binnaculars, well sometimes they where escorted of by lake worth finnest. i really did not give much time to them guys,my bucket was alway's heavy,i think the last time i got kicked of i put out a whole live jack on my 16/0,if you going to go might as well do it right.all yeah beware of all the tateltells.it is funny how you get to pay for the pier to be built and re-built,and then they tell you what you can fish for.

nothing bigger than a 4/0.....all the big boys were caught on big reels, what happens is that the pier master cuts you some slack if he know you and let you bring the big reels in......the pier master is a shark fisherman, sorry cant say name unless he says it.................................this can only happens late at night

Keep your big reels in your backpack or bag.
Bring them out when the sun drops.

Nothing bigger than a 4 0w on Lake Worth and Juno Pier.

A Hammer was caught on a jigmaster and a 4 0 left hand.

here are some pics from last year to get the blood pumping

like i sayd is who you know.so if you are from out of town, you can't play.what if rene and the guy's in south beach ran the peer the way they wanted.and nobody but homie's where aloud to shark fish,i am glad they where real men. i would be glad to take someone fishing, giving due of course that they are bound by rule's,but this is the motto of the shark club I THINK,(ONE FOR AND ALL,AND ALL FOR ONE.)by the way does anybody else see the gash on the side of the bonnet head, and the missing right fin,on the pier pic's.if that was caused by a fish ???????.come over here and fish where you can.bring winches!

Thanks man, I really appreciate it. I'll try and get in contact with you closer to when I go. You don't have to worry about us doing anything to get attention, and we are catch-and-release. If we talk later and you give us the green light we'll keep big tackle and shark fishing on the down-low. I respect that you have a job to do, and I wouldn't do anything to compromise that. Thanks again!

good stuff brother, I bet it'll be awesome fishing with you guys at the pier, with people who care and respect the spot.....last year someone left a lemon shark dead at the beach, even the news were there, and after that "boom" no more fishing at the beach............THE PIER MASTER GAVE YOU THE GREEN LIGHT, HOPE YOU CATCH A BIG ONE
