A mako, tiger, or bull would hit a bait repeatedly, I doubt the white shark theory, but anything is possible in the ocean.

Just an average fisherman.

WHEREVER THERE IS BIG PREY THERE ARE BIG SHARKS LOOKING TO FEED ON THEM.ALL THE FLORIDA KEYS HUMPS HAVE LOADS AMBERJACKS AND GREAT WHITES ARE MORE ABUNDANT THEN PEOPLE KNOW.

That was actually my boat....doubt all you want, it was a white. I could have pet it on the nose that's how close it was. At one time, his tail was completely out of the water, making an easy ID of his tali fins, and his head was breaking the surface while eating the jack on the other end of the spear that was in my hands.

i don't dought the possability of a great one on our shore,my question is ,if he is feeding on the amberjack,and still has a lot more to eat of it,and you could almost touched it,why did you not take a picture of it,i see that a camera was available.

my friend was still in the water 100ft away with no gun....we pulled the jack in and bolted over to him.

just food for thought,if a shark is interested in a fish and has aquired it's taste,better let him have it,I.E let him eat the fish and go get you're buddy while he is ocupied having a snack.an anverjack is $.25 a pound,a diving buddy PRICELESS.
