Has anyone fished at picnic island recently with results? One of few areas in Tampa bay area I havn't tried. I seen there is a parking lot with a little beach access which I prefer for my yak.
Make sure u get there before 7pm bec the local drunks tend to bring a lot of stuff and several rods...also left of the peir all the way down the bach is crabpots...the locals will I'm sure ask u to yak baits for them since they use the current and it run close to shore and parrallel as well...

i dont recommend that. as that can end you up in hot water.
Obviously..don't recommend it during the day but just be slick and not stupid about the situation. I dealt with craptrap laws years back on the water with my John boat. Not the average joe
Fwc has been out past several nights due to ppl keepin undersize snapper and snook..
