what i do when spooling braid it takes a while but gets it on full and tight.

put the braid directly to the spool, spool it all on tight and then tie your backing on with your knot of choice, then spool the backing on to where ever you want to stop the line at on the spool. then take another reel or a spool if you have one spool it all on there and then to another so the mono is back ontop then spool back to the main reel and it will go on tight and be full till you start cutting your line for lures and what not.

spool the braid on and then mono and then take a drive to get all the line off and then reel it back on

I would use the signature of my post to avoid all that hassle.

I did some kind of calculation.. came out to 75 yards of 20 lb mono and 300 yards of 30 lb braid...

So then i did another smart calculation to find out how many turns of the handle would create 75 yards and came up with 65.. boy I was dead on. The reel is as full as you can get before becoming over filled.

I'm going to see if i can find out how i did it again and then post it for everyone. it was kind of neat. Had to find out how many inches were in a yard and then devide that by the inch per crank of the reel and i think that was pretty much it. more info to come!!!!! just got off a gambling cruise.. was really rough out of the port. 60 % of the people were throwing up.. was a fun sight.
