I have to say, you should fish now because oil in the gulf regions we love so much will be present for the rest of your life. At this point, there is absolutely no way oil will not affect most of the Florida gulf, including those I enjoy so much; it's already here. Mousse, sheens, and tarballs are being found and spotted near Appalache Bay, Panama City, Mexico Beach, and surrounding areas.

That 1979 leak in the Gulf took months and months to "cap". The experts tried plugging the well with mud and cement which failed until 2 relief wells were drilled. Sounds familiar. This, after 31 years worth of additional experience and improved technology.
BP says relief wells should be done in August. Big projects run into overtime and problems. Who knows if relief wells will even work this time, or that they don't cause another accident.
