Need some advice on rays

What's up everyone I was wondering if anyone could help a newb out?? Any tips on catching rays from the beach, what rigs, baits, techniques you guys use. Any help would be much appreciated thanx in advance.

You ever done any floundering? Just use a single prong gig with a long prong. stick it through the ray and into the sand and hold. then get a gaff and put the ray in the cooler. They have a way of getting ya so be carefull. A challange in its self. Cut the stingers off after ya get em home. do not freeze with a stinger. I have a big zodiak with a small tower. We shine with a spot light from the tower. A bigun will kick ya butt.

if you have some grass flats nearby you can wade and gig them to like E said its better at night with a spotlight

Find a marina that they come up to eat cacasses and get em to take a bait or snag em. Also down in the keys from 7 mile you can snag em from the bridge cuz there's a flat right after the beginning
