its a pretty cool episode ive seen it the coolest thing is there sailfish car though
well all things being equal,when you fish with a quater spool of lines the turns-per yard's is increased by 2-3 fold,also there is the friction factor,a fish tail pushing through water is not the same as a horsepower to the pavement ratio.i bet i can have him pull on the 14/0 with his own leg strenth and he will never empty out the reel,with the proper line strength,say120 lb test and 3/4 drag,anybody start's there drag at quarter strenth,these guy's are good so i don't see how they overseen these basic factor's,maybe they should of asked the old fisherman insted of some prettyboy rocket scientist.i once was fasinated and did this test,e fresh 16 year old,one 16/0 full of 120 lb test,i let him take of running then through it in gear,almost wiped him around,and he did not go another 50 yd's,i am just say'n.don't belive all you see.
well this was like there go big or go home test there actually test was at a slower speed it was the joke just to see if its possible no matter what you do test that they used the really fast car at
I just noticed... the mythbusters crew switched either the reel or the handle because take a look at 1:43 in the video and 2:44 notice any differences? from a red handle to a white one

i cant believe they just lit a 14/0 on fire because it would look cool. they coulda sold that and made some money that was in mint condition. lol
