sounds like you got you hands full will. i would put the original am radio in the dash and do a cd or bluetooth ready radio in the glove box or under the seat so you can listen to a cd or music from you phone.

Yes I know ,BELIEVE ME WILLIAM I know LOL
The '69 CORONET R/T was 100% Bone stock ORIGINAL w/ 40,000 on it when I bought it for [ready for this?]$1,300.00 in August of '74
It was also THE fastest thing I've EVER been in, Driven , or rode ,even faster than my MCs
You can say I'm full of it , but this is the GOD"S HONEST TRUTH;
One day I was cruisin around & ran into one of my Friends who hadn't seen it or caught a ride in it yet.......[you know where this is headin' right?] He jumps in & we start to leave out of town , Thru 30MPH zone out towards this 12 miles ,basically straight road that goes from this town we were in to the next 12miles away.
now this R/T had a 375HP 440 - 4barrel Ramcharger [Ram Air]Hood,w the twin scoops
OK as we left, we had to go past this Bank that hada clock outside ; said:5:00PM
So we took off & I got on it ....& STAYED on it , got to the firehouse on the edge of that next town, turned around & hauled butt back towards the town I'd just left,

It had the Rallye Guage pkg, 150 MPH Speedometer ,I buried the needle.........I was passing cars , on the way back , that I had seen heading towards the town I'd left!
We got back, rode past the clock at the bank ,[which was always correct]
That Clock said : 5:12PM ! RAN 24miles in 12 minutes = AVERAGE 120MPH, That car was FAST

Did those links work for you tube ? they are all some real hot BUICKS

OOHH I HAD a long post & got deleted for some reason,my fault
I'll just try to keep it short ,WILLyou were talking about the 72, 440 Roadrunner ,the '71/72 is my favorite bodystyle ROADRUNNER/GTX, TOO BAD you don't still have that 390 Mustang NICE RIDE! They ARE getting serious money for Mustangs now too
Missed out on a '71 , 383 /4speed benchseat, Black interior/HemiORANGE paint for $2,195. back in '75 I DID get to "test" drive it & gave the mechanic that went out with me a REAL RIDE ! he was saying : "OK, OK, OK , these things FLY, & I don't want to leave the ground!"
Had one of those TALL HURST PistolGrip shifters , when you threw it up into 3rd ,& Hammered it , it RAN!

You know it's hard work today restoring /building , & what you have to keep in mind IF you are selling your current car, is that you never know what the guy who will come to look at it when you sell it , wants,
That's why it's kinda best if you stick to the middle, Factory /Stock is what alot of them want, unless they are after a Driver /keeper they will beat on & run hard .
If you want to see some REAL KILLER CARS : NELSON RACING ENGINES www.nelsonracingengines.com Wait till you check this out......

Meanwhile, while I have this post open ,WILL, I want to tell Y'All how much I love this site, You have something really great here but you all know this already.
I tkeeps me sustained &inspires me to get back & I can't wait , it's taking me longer than I thought it would, I go to the stories like Your Night with JD HAMMER & THOSE TWO MONSTERS spooling the reels & even those "BEST BEND ING RODS PICS , & they fire me up because there are BEASTS on the ends of those lines!
Now there's new threads/posts stories about JAN2013 & The BIG Beasts being caught &Can't wait to hear the stories .THANK YOU & Good Luck & TIGHT LINES TO Y'All!

Can't leave this alone but after this I'll get off.....Back in the day [70s] I was a real BIG BLOCK MOPAR fanatic, nothing like that "Pull" when you throw it up into 3rd or drop it into 2nd & nail it, those 440s , 426 Hemis pull HARD
I had a few Friends that tually had HEMI cars .......one a '68 BLACK ROADRUNNER, , another friend had a '69 HEMI GTX , but one friend had a '70 HemiCuda, with an automatic & 4.56 DANA rear , man, that car was quick! we had a quarter mile marked off up at a huge reservoir back in the woods , low traffic , hardly ny really

We used to "Run"" up there all the time ,
Saw alot of heavy rides get it on up there ,
One time we watched a '67 TRIPOWER 427/435 HP Corvette run off against my Bud's HemiCuda,
The Vette was a 4 speed , witha 4.10 Rear , they both ran close & it came down to whoever got off the line first ,mostly but if that CUDA had the revs up when it left , forget it it'd pull that vette everytime ,

If I was to get back into it today, I'd go for a smallblock , so much that can be done today , you can have an easy 10sec street car no problem, & the GM or FORD are more affordable than MOPAR ,they've got MOPARS priced right outrageously .

Nothing wrong with a hot smallblock nice 64 NOVA with coilovers, rack/pinion power steering, 4-link rear half , tubbed , with 5speed keisler tranny ,I better stop
