First off, gotta thank epolk for all the help with answering my endless questions and for giving me the idea for building my own rod to begin with. I didn't end up getting roller guides only because I'm partial to the SiC guides. It was very enjoyable making it and I think I'm just gonna build all my own rods from now on. It sure helps pass the time untill I make it back to the coast.
Specs are: 5' 6" 130 class Calstar trolling blank. Ameri tek gimble, slick butt, reel seat. 16" hypalon foregrip. Dragon scale wrap on the bottom (thanks to the buys at bloodydecks for that idea). Pac Bay SiC guides with an Ameri tek titanium tip. It turned out alot better than i thought it would.
