Moving to Lauderdale...need some help

I just accepted a job in Ft Lauderdale and Im hoping some of you locals can help me out...

The first thing I need is a place to live...its a bit more expensive over there and Im hoping someone on the forum has a place for rent or maybe needs a roommate. I have a small dog and need to have room to park a boat(I can put it in storage if necessary). I will be working at a marina on Marina Mile so something close to there would be great. I am taking a bit of a pay cut and may need to take on some part time work as well if anyone needs some help.

The second thing is I need to meet some new fishing buddies. I am an avid offshore fisherman as well as land-based sharker. Also any info on what beaches I can shark fish with no harassment(well atleast minimal harassment)
Im looking forward to my move but these things can be a little over-welming. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. My number is 941-228-3466 or just message me here. Thanks in advance.

Ryan

Hey Ryan welcome to the east coast.Ft Lauderdale is a pretty amazing place and very central for the avid sharko -you've got Palm Beach to the north and the keys to the south so choosing a place to fish is probably easier then finding a place to live.Ft Lauderdale can be a bit pricey if you plan on living close to the beach and cheaper inland.I truly believe that if you research enough though ,affordale housing meeting your criteria is there just a matter of finding it.You may even be lucky enough to find someone that's got a house on an ocean access canal that's looking for a room mate.I suggest you buy the Sun Sentinel and check out there classified real estate for rent section.Drive around the areas you like and ask the neighbors what typical rents are like.Ft lauderdale has the world famous strip and plenty of tempting nite life and places to meet the muchachitas and can become a very intoxicating place so beware of the ALLURE.Once you're settled in send me a PM and we'll hit some of the best shark fishing beaches in the state.Good luck Ryan.
