Matt I'll Miss You!
If you have been keeping up with the news lately,
This was the part of the Palm Beach Posts aritcle:
On Thursday night, two days after he was critically wounded in an accidental shooting, Sylvester died at St. Mary's Medical Center in West Palm Beach, the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office said.
Sylvester, who was 16 years old and lived in North Palm Beach, passed away at 7:23 p.m. Thursday, said Teri Barbera, spokeswoman for the sheriff's office. He had been listed in critical condition since the shooting.
Matt was one of the few kids who could fish the pier as hard as I did.
He was the perfect Florida Boy, sunburnt, quick-witted, and a big mouth ya' gotta love it!
I'm never gonna forget him catching huge snook after snook after snook on the pier over the summer, all day long.
Even though me and him had our differences at times, I knew he was a great guy. There was seldom a person that wasn't laughing around him.
I pray that he's catching the HUGE snook and cobes up there!
I'll miss you!

Yes, i knew him - we talked couple of times on the pier. He was one of the kids the truly knew how to fish.
Its very sad to know that he is not with us anymore. R.I.P.

Thats so true, boghy
By the way thanks for posting those links for me
It sure is going to be weird walking out on the Juno Pier when he isn't there.
He IS in a better place now, he won't have to go through anymore hardships.
This was such a tragic loss for such a young man - we have put up a similar post in respect for you guys and his family and friends on our site as well to show our respect.
We are very sorry for your loss.

Our condolences to the family and close friends on behalf off all SFSC site members. This type of tragedy is always very sad to see but especially when it relates to such a young person so full of life .You thinks that the kids that are so involved in fishing on piers are immune from this sort of tragedy but the reality is much harder and accidents can happen to anyone. Our deepest sympathy to the familes.
