Well i WAS going to fish long key sat/sun but my 11 yo burned her hand in the camp fire!
Then my 9 yo BrOkE her big toe on a rock....
So we evacuated the keys and went home...Besides we froze to death in our tents on Fri night it was miserable. I am not 20 years old anymore!

If your ever at or near long key and need a hot shower the combination to the camping section gate is 9204:O)

Don't worry, you didn't miss much. The fishing was very slow Sat afternoon thru Sun morning, just a few big nurse sharks, eels, and other junk. 1 13" mutton. We had some good shark bait, rays and eels, and nothing got hit. It was a cold night that was made colder by the lack of action.

Yep. I have been wanting to try a spot near Long Key on the Gulf side for a while now, but I really would like to do this at the Bahia Honda State Park. The water there can get to 5FT pretty quick and even deeper a little further out.

Some specific advice....camping spaces 35-45 approximately are VERY rocky...the rest of the beaches seem to be clear visually.

Also last i looked all spots are booked till next December...

If you want to get 1 before then pm me and i will let you know how to possably get a spot even where there are none...with luck that is :)
