ken matsuura reels??
That's a really interesting new reel... it's drag does not spike up as the spool decreases so you don't have to worry about backing down on a fast fish. Most shark fishermen take advantage of the drag going up on the reel like how the everol displays the poundage on the reel for how much line is off. But in my opinion many people lose fish because they do not understand this concept and when they start getting dumped on their big super drag reels instead of leaving the drag alone or decreasing the drag they tend to get frantic and raise the drag to pressures that lead to hooks pulling and tackle breaking. That in my opinion is the soul reason why the penn senators are still pulling massive fish from shore, it's a star drag and can't be spiked up far enough for as much tackle failure as a reel with over 100lbs of drag.
On a side note, I also like the swelled spool concept as an angler can lose track of levelwinding and have a hill in their line
Any reel that's fully sealed and can handle 700lb marlin and tuna has got my vote
the rest is all up to the fisherman who wields it.
Just an average fisherman.
