the three rods stolen at long key were a boca smoke 80 on a shimano teremar, a cabo with blue line, and a custom 9 foot gator with light blue wraps and a split grip with double fooot turbos and a tarpon sticker and a tld 15.
after we fished the keys for four days we went to big carlos pass and woke up to two more rods missing a 9 1/2 foot mystery blank with orange and grreen wraps and a 24 inch rear grip and a 3/0, and an 8 foot falcon with a penn battle and a cabo inshore rod.
if you see these rods please let me know and notify the police. thanks

Sorry to hear about the stolen rods Dylan. In all the years we have been fishing the bridges most of us have had rods stolen at one time or another. After the first day on a bridge the sun and exposure start taking an affect on your body and you get very exhausted and when you hit the sack you KNOCK RIGHT OUT its important to take turns sleeping while you leave one guy in the camp on GUARD DUTY.Another thing we do is bunch all the rods together and wrap a bungy or a cable with loops and a lock.As far as the shark rods I may have out I try and fish two shark rods side by side and when I set up my sleeping bag I try and sleep right under them.Yon can bunch up your rods and lay them down flat against the concrete rail and right next to your sleeping bag.As you get older you will learn to become moe aware of your surroundings and better able to protect yourself and your things,,part of being young and free spirited is being carefree but the lowlifes out in todays society prey on the young ,on the weak,on the naive and sometimes on woman and the elderly,,,I just want the oppurtunity to catch a few in the middle of stealing my rods there gonna find out quickly how mistaken they were .

What is it with all the desperate, cowardly, thieving, lowlife FILTH in our city these days? This is why I don't like fishing that bridge anymore without my gun. Since police around here only harass motorists and let criminals plunder and pillage at will, anyone willing to try it with me will be fed to the 6 foot bulls down there. I'm not even joking on that. I hope you find your stuff man, now you know why I'd always stay up all night til the next afternoon!
