Kayaks

I'm looking to get a kayak for my future shark fishing adventures. I am looking at getting the Emotion Kayaks Spitfire 8', and I am wondering if it is too small to kayak baits out far. The reason I like this kayak is 1) It's small and easy to transport (I'm from Canada and have to drive it 22 hours to Florida) and 2) It's inexpensive (I only come to Florida once or twice a year). I don't care if I fall off sometimes but I just want to know that it's good enough to get my baits out if the surf is a bit rough. Let me know what you think, thanks guys.
