Here is one of Mark Davidson's work, I now use this reel, I believe it actually is a powder coating, but there was some type of layer or 2 underneath, some grayish colored stuff.
Just an average fisherman.

Well it can't be poweder coating cuz that only goes on metal and since the sides of senators are plastic it can be

Like I said, there is a layer underneath... no clue what material that is

And another reason it can't be is cuz its chiping and fading
